We want to alert you to an issue we’ve recently identified. Fraudulent emails are being sent from a spoofed address, falsely appearing to come from Claudette Biemeret, Inspector General of BART. These emails are not legitimate communications from the Office of the Inspector General.

If you receive an email that seems suspicious or unexpected from Claudette Biemeret or the BART OIG, follow these steps:

• Do not click any links or download attachments.
• Do not respond.
• Report the email immediately.

Forward any suspicious emails to the BART OIG at inspectorgeneral@bart.gov to help us investigate.

We understand the frustration this may cause and are actively addressing the issue. Your vigilance is critical in helping protect our communications and ensuring your safety.
